  1. Mouseover shows full movie title and year

I think this change came after the end of open beta.

Please revert it to the old system where when you mouseover a poster, it'll show the full movie title and YEAR. The current one is almost always like "A Fantastic Fear of Everything (20..."

    THANK YOU

  2. fix this annoying little bug please.

Only the first two digits of the year of release for films is being shown whenever I hover over a film, as shown by this picture: http://i.imgur.com/NlgsdUC.png

It's a small bug but it makes the information totally useless.

  3. Option to display Stars in lists

I'd like the option to choose whether or not to display my "star rating" for each film in a list that I create.

For example, in creating a "best of 2012" ranked list I think it'd be nice for others to not only see which film is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, last, etc. but also see my "star rating" without having to click on each film. I'm thinking you could just add the stars between the film card and the number that sits underneath it (or just underneath the card if the list doesn't use numbers/rankings)

  4. Some standard way to rank a series of films

I see a lot of lists (and have a few) that are just ranking a series of films. In the case of series (like ranking the Fast and Furious films, or the Aliens sequels) it seems like there should be a good way to see all lists that rank these things, or to have some standard so that you could see how others rank them.

I don't know how to do this, but you guys are super smart, I'm sure you could figure it out.

Nice idea. We of course have tags on lists, but this would require all members who create such a list to tag it with the same tag, which presumably they wouldn’t know (even if we published a format it’s unlikely it would be used consistently). We’ll think about it.

  5. On the Films page

Have a list of the films that are currently in theaters.

  6. Mobile site (iOS add to home shortcut)

    Hello,

First of all, I love mobile web site of letter box.

My only wish is that you optimize it for iOS, so when I click to add to homescreen shortcut, that it starts treating it as app and opens it in a new window (like app) and not safari.

Example of what I'm talking about is m.tvprofile.net. If you add it to homescreen shortcut, it will treat it like an app.

Hope you understood what I was talking about.

    Regards,
    Aldy

The web app mode is for sites which implement their own “Back” button, which we do not at present. Without this mechanism, it would be frustrating trying to use the site with no way to jump back a screen. It’s generally for apps that mimic the native app experience.

  7. Limit the number of instances of the green notification bar.

When scrolling through a list and adding things to my Watchlist, the green notification bar appears for each item added. Sometimes it becomes obtrusive if I am adding many things quickly, and a dozen bars can fill my screen.

It would be much better if you limited the number of instances of the green notification bar to 3 or 4, so that they didn't fill up the screen.

  8. Size of film icons and pages

Add an option for changing the size of film icons-covers and the number of films per page.

Option to tick movies and perform global tasks... some tasks, like putting films in a list area tedious when done one by one...

  10. Mobile site

I very much like the design of the mobile-version of letterbox'd, however it doesn't really work all too well with Opera for Android.
With the native browser, I'm not experiencing any issues, but I hardly use that.
The main problem is that the drop down menu is always "dropped down". I'm not really sure, whether or not this issue can be attributed to the mobile site or rather to Opera.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

  12. Include a 'Random Favorites' Option

So that rather than having only four favorite films displayed on your profile a random four appear from movies that are favorited.

  13. Show how many existing lists in Letterboxd were completed on 100%

In the "Lists" or on your own profile, you would know which lists already you watched all the films contained

  15. Sharing the diary

Hi!! I'm addicted in your website. Tks for it.

I think we could share in facebook and twitter when we mark a film for diary.
Like: <click in "review or log this movie"><save><share that you watched>
And in facebook or twitter, for example, show "Líli france watched "Life of Pi" in 03/JAN".

  17. Importer applies ratings without marking films as watched

imdb ratings import should update the profile front page of films, not merely be added to the list, or there should be an option to populate the watched list with films from other lists. Right now, it says I've watched 2 films and rated 203 films. Doesn't make sense, and I want them to show on the profile front.

This is a bug, applying ratings should always change the watched status for a film. We’ll get this fixed.

Note there is an optional link on the import page to mark imported films as watched, so you could use this to correct the issue.

  18. Provide keyboard shortcuts for rating a film when adding it (for data entry efficiency).

Adding movies to my watchlist was super fast and easy. I never had to move my hand off the keyboard and over to the mouse. Not so for adding and rating a film that I've watched.

    (1) I need to re-click the "Add a Film" button every time. If I've just added a film, filled out the fields, and hit "Save", take me back to a search bar to add another so that I don't have to go back and re-click it.
    (2) Once I select the film name and you take to the pop-up to fill out the fields,…

  20. Make some way to filter real reviews. Maybe add a 'comment' section or a 'dislike' button.

Too many high rated 'reviews' are some comedic quip and not actual reviews at all.
