I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Please don't use 'recent' to only mean the most current films.

By this I mean, both the 'recent likes' or 'recent reviews' should not be based on when the film came out, but rather when the person rated or reviewed them. As it is, the films most recently released will always be pictured on a person's profile. I'd much rather see what they' most recently reviewed, seen or 'liked' even if it's not the most recent release. Does this make sense?

  2. more flexible RSS feed

I'd quite like to import my reviews onto my blog, with a link to letterboxd. However, it seems that my RSS feed also contains other activity such as adding items to lists.

If there was a neat way to get a link to more specific RSS feed that didn't have a confusing UX that'd be really helpful.

For example Flickr has a link on each page to subscribe to update for that page. My photostream's RSS link is for all my photos, but the RSS link on the page for a particular album only contains updates to that album.

  3. strengthen it´s social approach

Letterboxd is addictive as crack!. But you dont have clear notifications of a friend´s new reviews or updates.

WeÆll be adding FB and Twitter sharing once the site is public. The best way to get notifications about new reviews is to follow other users and then check your Activity page regularly — it works just like Twitter or Tumblr.

  4. Mass rating when viewing films in your "Seen" list

I've clicked seen on a lot of films but don't want to have to open each individual page to rate them. Is there a way to mass rate these films in a list format?

  5. Bugfix: Movies appearing several times

I've added my list of the top 250 imdb films and on the third page it appears several films are outputting twice (and using the same number in the list): http://letterboxd.com/jhuskisson/list/imdb-top-250/page/3/

Everything from 225 to 232 are outputting twice despite not affecting the number in the list or actually being inserted twice into the list

  6. Watchlist: allow sorting/ranking/categorizing and notes

In the 'films' section of your profile you can order your films by popularity, could it be possible to integrate this function into the 'watchlist'. Tis could be handy for days you have no inspiration on what to watch.?

  7. Allow list owners to sort to a list prior to saving

I have a list of over 400 films that I'd like to keep sorted. Dragging and dropping is not a feasible method for a list of this size. I'd like to be able to sort the list by name, either manually (e.g. by clicking a 'sort now' button), or automatically (select a default sort order for when the list is displayed).

  8. Add a table view for the film list, with sortable/filterable columns

This would allow us to search, filter, and otherwise analyze our data easily. We may also wish to create graphs and lists with this info; while it would be nice if Letterboxd also did that, it would be easier and more flexible if we could get at the raw data. See Goodreads for a decent example of rich tables of user data.

We’ve completed the first stage of this, by changing the default diary view to a sortable table view. We’d love follow-up feedback on how useful this is, and if/how you’d like to see this view used elsewhere in the site.

  9. add filters for "seen" or "on watchlist" on lists

I made a list based on a series of reviews on AVclub.com. Some of these films I have already seen and some are on my watchlist. It would be nice to have the option to show only those that I haven't seen yet or am not yet planning to watch
