  1. Allow for further organisation of rated films

This might already be a feature but once I've rated a film its put at the top of it's respective category on my ratings page. I'd love to be able to reorganise all of these so that the films at the top are my true favourites and not what ever I have watched recently and liked.

  2. Login with Facebook, Google, etc... (OAuth support)

Let me know when you support OAuth login. I don't want to have to remember and store yet another password.

The irony that this feedback form supports OAuth yet Letterboxd does not...

  5. Add recommendation engine

It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to recommend films that other members with similar taste rated highly.

  6. Suggest titles/names in search bar

Titles and names have to be exact to be found, the search bar should suggest so film titles can be more easily found and not have to go on a separate page to be clicked again.

  7. Combine the + and Search (magnifying glass) into ONE BUTTON!

Every time, without fail, I select the wrong search option in the app. It makes no sense to me why there are both a "+" search option that allows you to do certain things when you find a film AND a magnifying glass search option that allows you to do different things when you find a film. Why can't all the options be combined into one of those search features?
That would also have the added benefit of making the app more streamlined and minimalist, which is the goal, right?
I know I'm not the only one with this frustration.…

  8. Actor photo onmouseover in movie pages

A photo of the actor/director appearing when you hover over their name in a movie page. Sometimes Choi Woo-shik doesn't really ring a bell, but a face does. Clicking on the name just to see the actor and then returning to the movie is quite the hard work.

  9. I think you should add a watchlist option to the movie modal

When you are searching for a movie, and click into one a modal gets opened, there you could rate the movie, it would be very useful to be able to add a movie to the watchlist there, a button like "+ To watchlist" would be great :)

  10. Where to Watch

The “Where to Watch” section for each movie is a great tool and a good way to easily find films in my watchlist that can be immediately available (I have Netflix, Hulu, and Prime). Unfortunately, it seems these haven’t been updated in years: there are many films that say they are available on Netflix when they are not and vice versa. Netflix publishes a list of what’s coming and going each month and it would seem easy to continue to update...

We use GoWatchIt.com’s data to keep our Netflix availability up to date, but we can sometimes lag by a few days/weeks for less popular titles. If you spot any titles that have incorrect data for the US market in the Where to Watch panel, please send a list to help@letterboxd.com and we’ll get them updated. We appreciate the help!

  11. update review content after editing

If I browse to one of my reviews, click "edit this review", and save my changes, I get the flash message that the review has been updated, but the page still contains the old content.

  12. Calendar Watchlist

Much like Hoop-Tober is a list you can make for the month of October, a calendar watchlist would allow you to plan when you want to watch them. The new (BLANK) movie coming out in 6 months? Sweet, put down the first four (BLANK) movies on the week preceding the new films release. Would further incentivize watch lists.

  13. line breaks or headers within list

I think some list would benefit greatly if you can add line breaks or possibles even headers to organize it. This would be something only shown in the default list order, it would go away if someone chooses to organize by newest released or most popular ect.

  15. Rank users progress on individual lists

For each list, show the completion rankings, as can be done on the listchallenges site. As users watch more films in the list, they rise in the rankings. Very motivating!

  17. "In" and "Not in" filter options for personal lists

I made lists for my blu-ray collection and of movies that I'm seeking to add into my collection. Similarly as there's "In your watchlist" or "Not In your watchlist" filters, filters for personal lists personal lists as well would be pretty useful.

  18. How to allow certain member to see non-public list?

I have a list I don't want to make public yet but I'd like to show a certain member. How do I allow only them to see it?

  19. Add a way to jump to a day/month/year/etc. on the diary tab in the iOS app

Similar to how on the website you have the option to click on a diary page number to jump far back into your log, it’d be nice to have this option on mobile. It takes forever to scroll all the way through your diary entries in chronological order, especially if you’re a longtime user.

  20. Give a better "Master List" of films

Some more extensive lists for new users or people looking to fill out all the films they've seen. Hard to think of them all off the top of the head.
