I consistency between Comments and Likes on Activity Stream
By which I mean, when you like someone's review it will be displayed as 'You liked Zach's 2 star review of X'.
But when you comment on a review, it comes up as 'You commented on Zach's review of X'.
Is there way to get them to match up, so when you comment it will give the star rating.
E.g. 'You commented on Zach's 2 star review of X'?

Please make it easier to rate each movie
Now i need to click two times to reach the "rating place".That is,one at the list button at bottom of every movie card and then rate it.
Why don't you just increase the size of the card and provide the space to include the rating stars inside it.So that we can rate it just by hovering the mouse above the card and then rate it.1 voteThis control is designed to work on posters of all sizes, including posters where the rating control won’t fit. It may be addressed in a future update.

Please customise the grid size for ~editing lists..
On the "edit" pg for lists, please make the grid size customizable, or at least 10-across as opposed to the current 7-across, which is not only bigger than necessary, but makes it more take so much longer to drag new additions to the middle (or worse, closer to top) from the very end of a list in the hundreds. I think 15 or 20-across would be interesting too, as they match the display of 5-across so positioning titles could be easier. Actually, if we could just ~type in a position for a title & have it move merely by hitting…
1 voteTill we change this, note that if you enable rankings for your list, you can click a ranking and type a new number, then press Return, and the film will move to that position in the list. You can then disable rankings (if not wanted) before saving. (Helpful for moving items a long way!)

Less whitespace in the bio area
The latest update makes every newline in your bio info leave an entire line's worth of space, which is a bit too much. Before this a newline would just put the next text on the next line. This might just be a browser issue (I'm using Chrome).
To demonstrate:
"this is
how the new one looks"
"this is
how the old one looked"1 voteThanks for pointing this out. We’ll improve that output for you.

Possibility to filter films, which aren't specifically dated
I missed a watch date on couple of films and only way I found to chech which films didn't have a date in my diary was to manually go through all of em. I would suggest you add a filter option for that, because it's a real pain in the ass if you notice that some months later and need to try to find out which film it is you didn't date properly.

Add tooltips for the eye and heart icons
I don't really know what they mean.
1 voteSimply: “I’ve seen it” and “I liked it”. :)

Renaming lists to a previous name creates a redirect loop
Create a new list called "name1".
Rename list to "name2".Viewing name1 now redirects to name2.
Rename list to name1.
List is now longer viewable.
1 voteThis is a known issue. It comes right when the internal cache for list slugs expires, but is frustrating in the meantime.

Improve List organisation
Currently we can sort by:
Name useful for specific, one-off types of list but not very helpful when you've got a lot of 'Top 10' Lists or just can't remember exactly what you named something.'When Updated' useful for finding the most recent lists but not great for finding something you last edited a year ago, or a list that's edited at random intervals.
'Popularity' for sorting through my own lists this isn't at all useful (unless I have a sudden desire to know what my most popular lists are)
Equally we can only split between Public and Private.
Would…
1 voteWe can probably add When Created as a sort order, will take a look at this in the new year.

Show the writer/author on title page!!!
A FILM STARTS WITH A SCRIPT
“To make a great film you need three things – the script, the script and the script.” – Alfred Hitchcock
Whilst there are many important jobs in film (producer, cinematographer...), I think that the writer just MUST be up there directly to be seen and not hidden with the other cast and crew.
IMDB and Plex, both display the name of the writer directly below that of the director. For good reason. I find not doing this is grossly negligent!1 vote -
Filter a user's film list by 'reviewed' or 'not reviewed'
It would be very useful to be able to see at a glance items which do not have a review in either one's own film list or the film list of another Letterboxd member.

I keep getting click bait spam on your app
I’m really enjoying using this app and I’m new to the platform. So it’s worrying me that I always get the same type of click bait / phishing type of advert that claims I’ve won an iPhone cause I’m the 1000th customer. Please fix this, if I’m investing time and putting my info into this app, I need to be assured that data isn’t completely being ransomed to anybody. I’m not ignorant I know cause it’s free we can expect adverts but click bait spam ads, really ??
1 voteWhere are you seeing the adverts? In web views inside the app? The app iteself does not serve ads at this time.

Integrate with Filmstruck as their rating and tracking engine!
I love Letterboxd, and I love Filmstruck. Sadly, Filmstruck has no rating system nor way to track what I've watched. How cool would it be if your two organizations partnered up! It would bring visibility to Letterboxd and give Filmstruck a huge missing feature.
Hopefully you're at least having coffee with the Filmstruck folks on occasion. :)
1 voteWe’d love to work with them on something like this and have reached out.

Show "Movie Status" on main pages
When scrolling through movies, there's no way to see what you've already marked as "watched"/"want to watch"/"liked". This functionality is available on Goodreads (for reference). Currently your browsing UX is not as pleasant as it could be due to the confusion of not knowing whether the "watched" movies that you see are already marked as such, which causes people like me to want to check/re-mark them.
1 voteThanks for your feedback. We do have a “Fade Watched” option which you can engage for most poster grid views, that fades out films you’ve marked as watched. Showing watched, liked and watchlisted status for every film all the time in those views leads to a very busy interface and detracts from the browsing experience.

2016 Year in review
Hello,
My name is Andrei and I saw the 2016 Year in Review landing page. Everything is really nice except the first screen of the landing page (the one with the dot that is flipping and changing colors). That screen is really confusing because I was waiting for the content to load (for about 10 minutes) until I scrolled down. I hope that my feedback can be of use :).
Have a nice day,
Andrei1 voteThanks Andre. That page should load up a selection of posters and show them to you. Sorry if that’s not working for you! (We’ll double check that it’s working in your Edge 14 browser.)

How do I import notes from a previously exported list?
When I export my Letterboxd Lists, the Notes I have entered appear in a field with the DESCRIPTION header. However, there does not seem to be a way to import those Notes into a new Letterboxd List. In other words, there is not a field in the Import Header template that seems to correspond to the DESCRIPTION (or Notes) field. Can you help?
1 voteThe export and import options are not 100% compatible with each other at this time. We do not support notes import. We’ll look at support for this in the future.

Move the watch/watched and add to watchlist button to movie page.
Move the watch/watched and add to watchlist button to movie page, not inside plus button. Hitting plus button every time is annoying.
1 voteNote that you can long-press any poster (even on the film screen) to open the action sheet for the film and access these controls.

Adding a link to Blogger
I have a movie blog that I do with a couple of my buddies that I would love to just be able to post my Letterboxd reviews to as well. Would it be possible to get a link by the Facebook and Twitter symbols to Blogger.com as well?
1 voteWe may add a popup with extra services in it in a future release.

have some way of seeing film ratings when viewing a list
As the title says really. When I'm viewing a list for inspiration for stuff to watch, it would be handy to see the average rating and/or number of likes without having to view the film's page.
Perhaps only displaying this in list mode would be sufficient, and use up some of the blank space in that view.
1 voteWe’re planning to at least show the list owner’s rating in list detail view. We’re not fond of average ratings across the site, but will investigate other options for representing the best films, perhaps a sort option by popularity.
