Import reviews as notes in a list
When making year-end lists, i often already have reviewed the films in the list earlier in the year using the diary entries. I wish there a way to link those diary entries to the list entries, instead of writing additional stuff in the Notes feature.
9 votesWe don’t have an automated way to do this, but you can manually create links using HTML tags.

Sorting Options - Most Recent Reviews
Can we get a way to sort reviews on the homepage based on most recent as opposed to just popular? I'd like to see different reviews from people as opposed to the same top reviewers with a massive friend list.
9 votesThanks for the suggestion. At present the best way to see all recent reviews from friends is to use the Pro account setting in your Activity feed to only show reviews.

Netflix UK
Netflix is now running in the UK as of last week, but although I can associate my account just fine, it doesn't seem to work for adding films to the queue saying they are unavailable. I verified that the film is indeed available for streaming in my Netflix account.
9 votesNetflix doesn’t provide UK-specific API calls, but if/when they do, we’ll make those work.

add a way to clear your watchlist
I have over 5,000 movies on my list and at this point I'd like to just clear it out altogether than go through it movie by movie
9 votesWe don’t have plans for this at present. (Might be a good candidate for someone to build using our API.)

Change up the popular reviews somehow
Currently I see the same thing every time I log on. It's very boring. The popular review should be "Popular this week" or something otherwise these reviews will be in the same order forever.
9 votesThanks for this feedback. The reviews are “popular this week”, but because they’re featured, they remain popular as they’re the ones most often seen/read/liked. We’re working on ways to improve this mechanism.

Play instantly on netflix
A link to launch the netflix streaming player (when available)... or buy from amazon or iTunes.
Monetize and make instantly watching the movie easy!
9 votesYou can add to your Netflix instant queue right now, by authing with Netflix on the Edit Settings page. We plan to improve our Netflix handling so it knows availability ahead of time. iTunes links are in the action menu on a poster, Amazon coming soon!

Import from IMDb with RSS
I was thinking, correct me if I am mistaken, that an automatic import feature connect with the IMDb RSS would be nice. If it is allowed of course.
Something like this:
IMDb offer a RSS for movies you have rated. This feed has both the movie title and the rating included. What if there was a place in the Letterboxd user account where you could paste this IMDb RSS feed link, and it would automatically import the newest additions when?9 votesSounds good, we’ll take a look as a future enhancement.

Integration with gowatchit universal queue list
It would be great to be able to import/export or have some sort of integration with gowatchit universal queue and letterboxed lists including watchlist.

Stats for Lists
I think it would be fun to see some stats on the list pages (in addition to the percentage watched). In particular, it would be really cool to see either a ratings spread for how I've rated the movies I've watched on a given list, and/or an average rating. That way, I could compare, for example, how much I agree with the Sight and Sound list vs. the AFI list, or how much I liked movies in 2010 vs. 2012. Director/Actor stats like the ones on the stats pages could also be fun, as well as info about repeat watches,…

Search by Language in Watchlists
I was just about to do this when I realized I couldn't. Can you please add a feature to sort your watchlist by specific languages, or at least by country? That would be really helpful in the future.

Compare Unwatched Films with friends
Solve the problem of "What haven't you seen?"
Two friends wander the store but can never find something they both haven't seen. A list of films filtered as unwatched for two users could be sorted by popularity and save the day.
From this point it shouldn't be too hard to expand the formula to deal with the multiple roommate or group movie night problem. Trying to find a film that you and 5 of your friends haven't seen would wonderful!
8 votesThe best option we have at this time is to visit the Watchlist of a friend and use the “Hide Watched” filter to only show films that you haven’t seen. Obviously this doesn’t work for multiple people!

Include release year in activity feed
With so many remakes out, it'd be much more helpful to see that someone is rating Ghostbusters (2016) instead of just Ghostbusters. Having the year of release show up after all titles in the activity feed would be helpful.

Make the 'popular lists' feature less boring
At the bottom of every film page is a feature called 'popular lists', which shows us user-created lists that include the film in question. Nice idea, but it's boring. The problems is that so many users have created mega-lists of hundreds or thousands of films, which means that every list in 'popular lists' is called something like "The 5000 best films ever made", or "Every film that ever got nominated for an Oscar in any category" or "Every film beginning with 'B'".
This is boring because the films in these lists are not closely related to the actual film on…

Amazon Prime and Netflix filter for different regions
The Amazon Prime and Netflix filter would be even better, if it would check different regions like the normal Amazon and iTunes filter.
Right now it's not much use for me since I live in germany.
7 votesAvailability data comes from GoWatchIt.com. Once they support non-US regions, we’ll be able to as well. We only support non-US currently for Amazon Video, Amazon physical media and iTunes.

Better filtering
Hello, I just spent the past few hours exporting all my Rotten Tomatoes details to Letterboxd. :)
Just some suggestions:
1. First I love the 'Movies" page. It's cool seeing the movie posters all like that lined up, it’s a very compelling idea. However, I have problems with the default filter for the movie view being "release date". Who has a use for this, besides someone stumbling on your page—they probably won’t want to judge a movie by newest movie in a person’s profile? Even if that is the intention, it should be filtered by number of stars awarded.
I…
7 votesThanks for the thoughts!
1) Once you start using the site, your profile page shows your most recent activity prominently.
2) We chose to include all films in recent activity, even if they’re old.
3) You can filter by year and genre in the main Films section (http://letterboxd.com/films/). You can also hide films you haven’t seen in that section, which personalises it.
4) Grid/List switcher is something we’d like to add in future on relevant sections, yes.
5) Noted.
6) Activity is only useful if you follow other members. If you don’t you’re best not to use it. It works great when you do follow other active members.
7) We have some plans around Watchlists. Something for later this year hopefully!

Make it easier check off movies you've seen
You should just be able to click anywhere on a movie poster to add the film to your watched list. As an Android user, its very frustrating using your site. The eye symbol didn't show up unless you click the image which brings you to another page.
7 votesNote that you can long-press a poster to mark a film as watched without leaving the page you’re on. We’ll bring our “Fade Watched” option to Android as soon as we can.

Update related activity item when a rating changes
If by accident I've rated a movie, next time I add the correct rating, all of the activity (either on my lists or on a friend feed) will not reflect the update. This is really annoying and has been on for ages. I'd hope it would be fixed by now with the new app.
