I would love to have an option to sort the films you have watched and rated by a single rating. I want to see only the films I've rated 1 star and only the films I've rated 5 stars. It would be a nice feature to add. Keep up the great work!6 votes
We’ll add the Rated (including Rated in Range) filter to the Films list.
It would be great if we could copy/paste links to other letterboxd pages in comments.
The other day I was commenting and need to post a link to one of my lists. I copy/pasted it and it didn't work. People tried helping with how to do this and it turned into a huge effort (see the results here: http://letterboxd.com/lise/list/sunday-mornings-with-coffee/#comment-16751 ).
If copy/paste can't be achieved for some reason, perhaps indicate the way to insert links at on the page footer where you have About, etc. by including something like:
To insert a link, type <a hred ...etc6 votes
Well, i'm not sure i understood the rewatch button, well i guess for movies we've seen long time ago and we didn't know the date, it would be great, but is there a chance to see a feature kind of when the movie is already logged in the diary, the "rewatched" button is by default checked, or just removed so automatically the movie is logged twice and more.6 votes
For example the movie "Hasta La Vista" (which is a Belgian, Flemish movie) won't appear in the search when you typ "Hasta La Vista").
As far as I can see, this is caused because this movie also has an English title on TMDb (Come As You Are), though it's also translated in Dutch.
Would it be possible to search for foreign languages on TMDb too, and preferably show them in the foreign language on Letterboxd too (at least the title)?
Letterboxd link for this movie: http://letterboxd.com/film/come-as-you-are/
TMDb link: http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/76451-hasta-la-vista4 votes
The site search (magnifying glass in the header) works to locate films by alternative/foreign title. The auto-complete when adding a film needs to do this also, this is planned for the future.
There should also be links below where i can watch the given movies. For example link for google movies or itunes to watch that movie

I have added many, many films to TMDb. I always add an image for the movie poster. When waiting for the film to show up on Letterboxd, or forcing the conversion with the URL import, it seems like about the image only imports about half the time. A blank box is really unsightly. I understand the necessity for allowing only one permanent image, but the import system isn't working correctly if I've created the TMDb page, and have uploaded an image, before I even import the data to Letterboxd.4 votes
We are working to have images import at the same time as film content for new additions.
When editing entries in the diary to add tags, edit reviews or ratings, and after saving the entry, you end up on the film's page (though the diary url curiously remains). You first have to reload the page to get back to your diary. This makes quickly editing anything more than a single entry a big pain. I don't see why this behavior exists in the first place.4 votes
This is on the list to fix, cheers for the reminder.
Essentially a list akin to IMDB's famous Top 250, but using the ratings data from Letterboxd users instead. A list that allowed for lesser-seen films to show up would be ideal but any such list would be a great addition in my opinion.4 votes
For "diary" view on the ios app, is there a way to add filters? Like only displaying films from 2015? Or 2014? I addition, is there a way to change the view? Like if I want to look at my 2016 diary but only at the posters and not at the calendar dates?3 votes
Not supported yet, but we plan to add this, yes.
I know you guys had a limited time merch sale, but I really want to get a shirt from you! Bring the merch back!3 votes
Something new coming…
Very excited about the iOS app being released today, but I'm sort of disappointed there is no URL scheme support. The ability to launch the Letterboxd app from another app or jump right to adding a specific film would be great for the many people who use launcher apps on iOS. But just in general it'd be a good move to allow other apps to interact more directly with your app.3 votes
Coming in an update, but didn’t make the cut for v1.
It would be great if people could get alerts when a movie in our watchlist gets added to a new streaming service. It would be even better if we can decide which services we would get alerted to.3 votes
Each movie page on the site shows a list of all friends who have watched that title, however if I want to see their ratings I have to hover over each of their icons individually. This is especially annoying when viewing the site on a mobile device where hovering isn't an option, forcing you to tap each user's icon to see their rating.
It would be much easier if those ratings from friends were always visible, similar to how it works in the iOS app.3 votes
It would be nice to be able to look into my most watched stars/directors with some more detail (rather than just the top 5). This would also apply to the Most obscure film I've watched etc as I'd like to know what else is considered obscure. On this note, how is the obscurity calculated? Based on views?
We’d like to add this. Obscurity is calculated using the reverse of popularity, so a measure of how few people interacted with the film.
Right now the window that pops up when you review a movie is tiny. You can expand the actual space your write in but that won't change the outer area and you're left having to awkwardly scroll around while writing your review. It makes writing anything more than a paragraph a bit annoying and you either have to deal with it or open up something like MS Word to type your review then copy/paste it over.
It'd be nice to be able to increase the size of the outer window (blue area) so we can easily read/write our review.2 votes
This will be addressed early in the new year.
Precheck netflix movies before suggesting the user adds them, many are not available... and maybe even a vote demand so netflix see a want for the title... down the track.2 votes

Thanks for the tip – we definitely want to support 1Password, since we use it ourselves. One of the developers has already reported this issue. It will be fixed soon.
I have some films in more than one list, and some I'm not sure if I've added to a list or not. As it stands my options are to look at the list or attempt to add it and see if it generates an error or not. It would be helpful if you implemented some sort of indicator next to the list name in the lists menu for a film that lets you know that film has already been added to the list, similar to the check mark used by IMDB.2 votes
As a film can only be added to a single list, it probably makes more sense to disable or grey out the list titles for lists that the film is already in.
It should be 2015, but TMDb has no option to list multiple release dates for a single territory. So those who believe the wide release date is the correct one for USA have kept changing it to 2016.
I encountered this error when searching for the actor Gustaf Skarsgård.1 vote
