I live in the UK, and the Gift Guide link only goes to the US store.

  4. Android: quick-add a film starting with an auto-complete search

On the desktop site, it's nice being able to create a diary entry without having to navigate to the film's page beforehand, but there's no equivalent in the mobile app. On Android, at least.

  5. Fix Add to Lists Problem

I posted about this on Twitter awhile ago, but it's still a problem. When I go to a film page, I no longer have the option to add that film to a list.

Instead I see a new option, which wasn't there before, which says "Start a new list with this film."

On Twitter you suggested that this was because I didn't have any lists, but I do! Indeed, when I select "Lists" from the dropdown under my user name, I can see them all.

I thought the problem might be because I have them all set to Private, but…

At present you must have at least one public list for this to work. The reason this approach didn’t work for you is that the cached value for the number of public lists on your account didn’t update in a timely fashion. Give it 24 hours. You’ll need to keep at least one public list for this option to appear. We will fix it, but as part of another unit of work, so may take a while.

  6. add "Liked" to import CSV format

I love using Letterboxd and want to make my account as canonical as possible an expression of my film viewing history. I've combined my dvdpedia and netflix data into one huge de-duped comma free spreadsheet but only one thing is preventing me from importing about 1300 of my entries...I want to have them marked as "Liked" on letterboxd and there is currently no field for that (I prefer using "Like" to star ratings).

I would love it if you could add a boolean field for "Liked" to your importer, and would sincerely appreciated it if you could drop me an…

  7. Importer applies ratings without marking films as watched

imdb ratings import should update the profile front page of films, not merely be added to the list, or there should be an option to populate the watched list with films from other lists. Right now, it says I've watched 2 films and rated 203 films. Doesn't make sense, and I want them to show on the profile front.

This is a bug, applying ratings should always change the watched status for a film. We’ll get this fixed.

Note there is an optional link on the import page to mark imported films as watched, so you could use this to correct the issue.

  8. make it easier to navigate through complete database of films

I saw in other feedback that you've responded to, that you can navigate through your complete film database by year. I went to the 'Films' tab and cannot find a way to do that.

Also as others have suggested, have your film database listed and be able to sort through genre, director, alphabetical, year, user rating, etc.
This would make it much faster to cycle through and add films i've watched, as well as formulating better lists.

Thanks and keep up the great work. I love the site so far - the diary aspect is wonderful and aesthetically it looks…

  9. Include year in title hover pop-up

I'd love to see the movie's year when you hover over a poster along with the title. Makes it easier to know if you're looking at the right movie without going to the full page if the poster is ambiguous.

  11. Make friends who viewed the same movie more obvious.

When you go to one of your own reviews for a film, in the bottom right it shows other people who have seen the film and has a link to a page with which of your friends have seen the film as well. I'd rather just see the images of the friends who've seen it (either instead of, or in addition to my non-friends who have seen it). If you're worried about cluttering the interface, perhaps a hover-over reveal, so I don't have to load a whole new page just to see one person's name.

  12. View multiple reviews from followees from app?

In the iOS app, when you see the list of followees who have also reviewed a certain movie and tap on their icon, it automatically loads their latest review. If they have multiple logs for a certain movie, there's no way to see the older reviews.

  13. Let us browse the new films added to the database

Like it says, whether they're new releases or older films that users have added to TMDB, I think it would be pretty useful to see what has just been added to the site. It might also allow you to happen across stuff you had forgotten about or stuff that you are just interested in seeing.

  14. do something with the search function (and I don't know what)

It took me a while to work out how to search for films I wanted to add to my watchlist (not my diary). The add to diary button is obviously the main thing, but it took me a mo to work out that the magnifying glass to the left turns it into normal search. When in the Watchlist page, the instructions are great (e.g. hover or sidebar), but I was all "But how do I find the film??) and if you click add to diary, there isn't a way to turn that into a "add to watchlist" instead. Ugh, this…

I think we’re going to add the same auto-complete box on the watchlist page that you get on normal film lists. It works really well.

Thanks for the feedback, by the way. I think you explained it perfectly.

I’m not sure what we’re going to do with the search box. It may change soon though, because the “Add to diary” button is getting an overhaul. Big things are happening :-)

  15. Apps: show number of films viewed “this year”

    Hi,
I’ve just upgraded to Pro as I use the app on a daily basis.
I’ve noticed that rather than show the number of films I’ve seen in 2018 so far, it shows the total number including 2017.
Is there any way of amending this within the app?
    Many thanks.

  16. See if an item has been reviewed from Films > Rating

I would like to be able to see at a glance which films I have reviewed from my 'films' list when filtering by rating. Would also work for anyone else's similar filter I suppose.

Similar to the screen which shows recent activity and has the 'reviewed' icon under the film pic.

  18. show followers ratings

When you are on a film page, you can see "Your friends who have watched [title of movie]". That opens the list of friends with a few columns including the heart. I would love to see their ratings here, as well as a link to their review of this film if they have one. Here is why it is important to have this information here.

The natural flow is to see that someone reviewed or rated a film you haven't seen. You may read their review, and then take a look at the film page. Now you are interested in…
