Add MPAA Ratings!
Perhaps there's a good reason for you NOT to include film ratings next to each film, but I feel like it's important enough information that it should be included at least somewhere. I have to exit the app to find out if the movie is rated R or not... a bit strange?

It would be helpful in efficiently navigating what films to expose my children to vs which films to wait on until they are a bit older.

I'm not sure why young app developers believe that no one cares about a film's rating. It's like Spotify that needed a million complaints about explicit content filters before deciding they should turn them on. Yes, its "art" I get it. But some people have preferences to what they see and what they see with their family and to totally ignore the film's rating is to ignore a large group of people's preferences. ...and I think this app is all about preferences. So, I'm a big fan of adding the only, defacto, logical film rating that has been universally established and relied upon since movies were invented (almost)

Would be amazing!

Baffled this has still not been addressed. Though I feel like a link to the Commonsense Media rating info would be still more useful.

Yeah TMDB and IMDB have that information, and I know that letterboxd use TMDB API to retrieve information about the films.

I would simply LOVE to see this implemented. I also have conservative parents, as my friend from a few years ago, and it'd be great to not need to exit the app in order to see such a basic info. It's a shame the app still haven't got this feature in all those years.
And c'mon, it can't be that hard to do it.

I can't imagine why this would not be included. It's really such basic information like runtime, director, etc. And the information is available elsewhere, so it's not like it's difficult to do this. In compiling a list for my son it's important to know the rating. Yet - as described by others - I have to get that information from another source. This really is a bit silly.

That would be quite helpful.

Would love to see the ratings (R, PG-13, PG, etc.) on the film's page!

I have wildly conservative parents. I know that Letterboxd is coming out of New Zealand, and I'm unfamiliar with any content ratings board outside of the MPAA, but any would work. Having an easier time recommending movies to see with my dad and mom would be fantastic. I usually go to my highest rated unseen to try and find a suggestion, but have to click through to the IMDB on each one,
The ability to sort by highest rated, unseen, PG-13 or lower movie would be yet another amazing use case on your amazing site, and I believe content rating exists currently within the TMDB API. It would also be helpful to search for PG or lower whenever I want to suggest something to my kids, which they will inevitably turn down in favor of watching Trolls Holiday again. But still, I like to be part of the process, even if it is as the foil to reject and sneer at.
MPAA might be a bit too American-centric for such an international sight - but any sort of content rating would be of frequent use to me personally.

Even if the MPAA (or other content rating board) ratings were just on the details page where applicable, that would be nice.

right now, i can't see the film's ratings ( PG, R, etc.) unless I hit the IMDB button. It should show under your description of the movie.

A lot of people ask me to recommend films for their kids or films that would be suitable for a family viewing. Usually I share my diary link and ask them to pick based on the star rating. Even if a movie is great cinema it may not be appropriate for a certain age group or social group. It would be great if you could enable a feature to display the Film content rating or certification depending on the country of origin. This would help people select films using a combination of both the film rating and the content rating.

Display the MPAA rating of a film next to it's title, both on the search results page and on the film page

Please add an ability to sort and filter films by MPAA rating.
