  1. Simple website idea

Let me add how many times I've watch a particular film. I, like everyone else, have watched Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS well over 1,000 times. That time has to count for something.

  2. Watchpanel dissapears beneath footer

I don´t know if this is the right place to point this out but I just found out that the footer goes on top of the watchpanel on a filmpage.

  3. Implement A More Elaborate Rating System

For some cinephiles like myself, there are movies that could be considered in between, let's say, a 4 and a 4.5. And some movies that are a 4 are not in the same class as other movies that are also a 4.

I think a more specific rating system with exact grades, like a 8.5 or 9.2 would be great.

  4. Publish to a Facebook Page instead of a profile

Is it somehow possible to not publish my review to my Facebook profile but to my Facebook site?

  6. add some features, customization, SOMETHING

I don't get it. I read the whole FAQ page and have no more understanding of this site than I did when I first opened it. The page just rambles without SAYING anything. All I can do is make lists?
How do I share or promote them? There's no forum or community here as far as I can tell or even a page displaying new lists (aside from a scant few buried somewhere around here) Am I supposed to just friend at random? No FB friends are here and never will be. Even searching the unique and specific topic of…

One of our primary features and points of difference is our diary feature. Members log films as they watch them, building up a list of films they’ve seen and creating a journal/film-watching history spanning (in many cases) several years. We use TMDb’s film data to power this service, but you can’t perform these actions on TMDb. Our paid level is for those members who want extra stats about their film watching, and perhaps less interesting if you only want to use our service to make lists.

I’ll investigate the list search issue you’re having — we’re continually improving in areas like search results accuracy. And I agree, we can do better at list discovery: we’ll be adding more ways to see new lists soon.

  7. Create a "suggested by [user]" tag on a list

Let´s say I want to create "The Ultimate Horror List" and have people send me suggestions. It would then be cool if I could tag that user on the movie he or she suggested as "suggested by [user]".

Example; Movie nr 4: Pet Sematary - suggested by Andrew123

  8. Add other metrics for ratings

Right now all films only receive one rating. It would be interesting if there could be "sub-ratings" of a kind that allow users to rate a film on enjoyability, film quality, acting, etc.

For instance, I struggled with my rating for Venom, a film that was not high-quality but one I enjoyed immensely. I might want to rate this film overall 2 stars, but give it a 4.5 for enjoyability/likability.

I'm not suggesting we do away with the essential overall rating, but rather show several ratings below it that allow users to rate various aspects of a film. Thanks! :)

  10. More List Sorting Options on Mobile

On the Letterboxd app, you can only sort lists by name or by your rating. This can be a bit inconvenient if you would like to use other sorting options but don't have access to a computer.

  12. Error Entering Film into a List

I was attempting to add the film No (2012) into one of my lists but the film does not appear on the list of options to add to the list.

  15. ... provide a way to mark a film as "loved & watched" with a single click.

Ideally, you won't add a third button. Figure out a way to let us click between the eye and the heart, for instance, that will activate BOTH buttons with a single click.

In more cases than not, when I want to mark a film as "loved", I have obviously seen it. So why make me click the eye AND the heart? This happens so often that my suggestion, if implemented, would improve the usability of letterboxd drastically for me. And I can't be alone.

  16. See Films Previously on Watchlist

Would love to be able to see a catalogue of films that were previously on my Watchlist, but which I finally watched and removed. Particularly since in Stats you're able to show how many I watched in a given year, but you don't show which ones. Since I forget what I had marked I'd love to see my progress.

  18. Mexican film 'Halcones: Terrorismo de Estado' is missing on letterboxd

Mexican film 'Halcones: Terrorismo de Estado' is registered on IMDB (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0885409/) but is missing on letterboxd.

It is a documentary film about the Mexican Government repressing a student demonstration back in 1971. It happened on June 10 that year.

Yesterday it was the 48 anniversary, so I watched it but when I tried to look for the film to add it to my Diary, it was impossible to find it.

The director of this documentary is Carlos Mendoza, but on your website there are only two films linked to him.

I would really appreciate if you add "Halcones:…

  19. See who logged a movie the most.

Woud be great if we could for example see the Top 100 or Top 10 watchers of a movie in each movie page.

  20. provide "Year in Review" format for users lists.

    To whom it may concern,

I love this website. I love it. It's my go-to in terms film discussions and keeping track of movies as the year goes along. At the end of the year, I always look out for the "Year in Review" editorials.

So I was wondering, I think it would be awesome to implement that same interface, website format (or however you refer to it) when making personal lists. Like, a feature to have it presented in a way that was like the 2016 "Year in Review" where you can select pictures and write your own descriptions/review…
