I am so looking forward to the day that people can get "verified" accounts on here! It would be very interesting to follow people who ~create certain media && who are also into tracking &/or reviewing what they watch.. xD
Looks like the name is wrong on TMDB, so that's why it's "missing" on LB..
For future reference, you can always use this handy ~shortcut to find any title:
Just put the LB address before the IMDb title iD: https://letterboxd.com/imdb/tt8678108
To further update the rest of the TMDB page for it: https://themoviedb.org/movie/597710
Hope that helps! xoxo
With Pro you can see most watched all time (in your Stats view). The logged count is not shown in the Android app yet (it overlays the “eye” icon in iOS and web) but will be added sometime soon.
Sounds like they meant for a particular film, as in on that film's page; & yes, that is possible, with the eye icon in the righthand section that says "logged" with a number on it.. when you click that icon it leads to the activity page for that particular film, showing yours by default. The activity page is currently unsortable, & thus it is only sorted by last logged activity first by default, but it can be filtered to view just yours or your friends or everyone's activity for that film. Hope that helps! xoxo
Oh yes, I definitely need this included as a drop-down filter in every possible place! xD
Especially without a limit as to how many are gonna get counted- like, sort everything!
But I'd prefer to call them "Most Logged" as I haven't logged every "watch" in my life, so..
yes! that would be very interesting.. xoxo
We have no plans to allow diary entries without a specified date, but you can still mark these films as watched by clicking the “eye” icon for the film. This adds the film to your list of watched films, and for Pro members, it will be considered for your all-time stats.
This was suggested on here in 2015, it has 38 votes already so you can add your votes to that one..
Hope that helps! xoxo
Pro and Patron members can pin reviews to their profiles by tagging them with “profile”. The two most recently tagged reviews will show.
Wow, so glad I found this feature! Can't believe I'm a whole year late LOL but cool! xD
Can't blame LB for restrictions imposed by Netflix.. personally, the best way to track other Netflix regions is with uNoGS.com paired with a list or other place to save bookmarks.. I use booky.io which is extremely handy especially because you can sort in different sections & categories in those sections.. also while Netflix may be frustratingly wise at catching VPNs, there are still plenty of good ones, like ExpressVPN, PrivateVPN, etc. who frequently refresh their sources.
Plus, the real best part of Pro (& up) on LB is the ~statistics! So if you don't enjoy that kind of thing, then yeah, probably not worth subscribing to for you; but it's good for a lot of others! xD
But I do agree it would be nifty if I could browse all regional Netflix libraries over on here.. just too bad Netflix doesn't have a public API so it's not possible to direct-connect to it ;(
Cover photos are available for Patron members of the site. They are taken from the backdrop of the first of your four favorites (if available). Let us know if you’re a Patron and your favorite film is missing an image.
Fingers crossed that this can be customized someday.. even if only via TMDB, to choose something specifically, not restricted to either the top favorites OR "most voted for", but any posted. That would be neat!
Been hoping for this feature too! xoxo
For future reference for anyone else who may come across this, here is the shortcut to push-import titles from TMDB to LB:
Take the TMDB iD number & put it after the LB link, like so..
But re: the title mentioned, it seems that particular one has been mislabeled it as a straight-to-video "compilation" instead of the film it may be, & unfortunately that feature is locked so that it cannot be edited.. which would require going to the TMDB forums & requesting help, or emailing them.
^ Looks like someone already did smth for you, actually.. now just hope it helps! xoxo
I would find that fascinating too! I used to use social media websites like FB to log things & the Memories feature on FB is really funny because it's always showing me things I watched on TV & whatnot years ago.. I have not done that on FB for years tho, but eventually I would like to backlog everything there too, for the same reasons- to see it all randomly later.. currently trying to put everything movie-related on this site, from everywhere else over the years.. so yeah, it'd be fun! xD
Agree! I've had similar issues & would love to be able to reorganize them in the correct order xD
Till we change this, note that if you enable rankings for your list, you can click a ranking and type a new number, then press Return, and the film will move to that position in the list. You can then disable rankings (if not wanted) before saving. (Helpful for moving items a long way!)
OMG the numbers are clickable- this definitely helps, thanks! I had been occasionally toggling them for exactly that, ie just to see how many the total was & to help sorting, but somehow never thought to click the numbers themselves, lol. Great trick!
Lack of mass / bulk editing was a reason I lost interest too, even tho I *love* the site's concept, soon after discovering LB in 2016. The ability to edit a tag directly on our "tags page" would be amazing! Still looking forward to the possibility, two years later.. xoxo
