Maybe, personally I hate the default 'films' view (http://letterboxd.com/perception101/films/) - I'd much rather it defaulted to a simple list, with information next to each film. It's slow to load and for many movies, I don't recognise the cover art so have to hover over them anyway, would much prefer a list :/

Maybe add a simple counter next to a film to show how many times you've seen it (like the iTunes 'played' counter)

Bulk import has not been a focus but thanks for the input. While you can’t manually enter a date strong, you can click the Month/Year in the header of the calendar view to go back and find a particular month in a past year.

A good approach in theory, but the investment in time to implement it might not be the best use of our time. As more sites and people use TMDb, the quliaty of its data will improve. (I have a ticket in to add writers to our film listings.)

... and what's the plan if TMDb goes under?

For the overall rankings you could give something generic, but you could also allow people to set a string for each star rating for themselves, and if people check your ranking they see your custom text rather than the generic text?

Also, if you watched it alone, you should offer a drop down of why, like,
    1. in the doghouse at the moment
    2. couldn't find someone to go with me
    3. all my friends hated it so went alone
    4. i'd never admit to watching this so watched it while the house was empty

    :)

Love this idea. Less serious suggestion in next comment ...

Bulk editing of *everything*, in a simple, non-graphical format. The graphical view is great when browsing content, but if I want to edit a list of 400 things, or change stuff, I'd be happier with a nice simple low-graphic option that responds much more quickly than the current interface. i.e. just a list of films with simple check boxes for seen, liked, etc. with a way to select multiple films in the list and turn those check boxes on and off.
