The need for this option is bigger than ever for me. I feel like an option to hide everything but films that have received a theatrical release is crucial, I find myself slogging through tons of stuff that aren't actually films (concert videos, youtube series, limited TV series, web series, filmed stage plays, etc.) when the reason I come here is to find movies to watch.
If you click on the 2010 decade and sort by highest rated, for example, you will see that 7 items in the first 2 rows are not movies, but miniseries. I also notice that there are some items like the pilot episode of Twin Peaks or an episode of Black Mirror that I would not necessarily want to see when I'm looking for movies.
I really like the "Hide Short Films" option in the eye menu, and was wondering if the same could be done for "Hide Miniseries/Television" in order to simply be able to have a list purely made up of movies when searching through different categories.
There are too many Concert videos/ Youtube clips / Television shows / Documentary series / Limited series to be able to find movies at this point, especially in recent years when the line between TV and Movies is becoming blurred. Users should at least be able to mark films as "not interested" and be able to filter out the content they don't want to see for this purpose. Another option would be to be able to simply filter out "non-film" entries, but it may be more labour intensive to classify everything that way.
We have an issue where non-rated films sit in the middle of our higest-to-lowest sort orders. Our plan is to change this so they are always at the end.Matt shared this idea ·
