We’ll monitor this as we grow, makes sense though.
We now have support for browsing by country and language. As some films have multiple languages listed, browsing French-language films (https://letterboxd.com/films/language/french/ as an example) will show English-language films as well (where those films have portions of dialog in French). We’d like to improve this in the future to be able to show films whose principal language is French.
Yes, we’d like to do this, but it’s not a quick development job so we’ve not been able to prioritize it to date.
We love this idea and are formulating some plans around collaboration in general.Anonymous commented
The idea is to be able to create a list but share it only with specific people, and also be able to edit it between themselves.
For instance: my wife and I have very different tastes in movies but we like to watch a movie together when we discover that we are both interested in the same one, but we like to exchange ideas just between us. And by having the option for both of us to edit the list we can compile it much easier, there would be no need to send links ex. via e-mail so that the creator of the list can add them.
Another example: when planning a movie night it's difficult to exchange ideas but if we could all edit the same list then this could go much faster. And because the movie night is something we will keep between ourselves we would like the list to be limited.

This needs to happen! I was just looking for something like this to suggest a few good movies to a friend of mine who just joined Letterboxd. I'm actually surprised that something so basic doesn't exist on a site dedicated to movie fans, it should have been feature number 1! I'm really hoping this gets implemented because it's a natural fit for Letterboxd.
